Meet the highest rate Nigerians on FIFA 16

Ahead of the upcoming FIFA 16
simulation game, Naij.com shortlisted
the best rated players from the latest
release of the sorted after game
series.
NOTE: There are some notable
misses like Emmanuel Emenike,
Fegor Ogude, Austin Ejide and Carl
Ikeme.
1. Joel Obi (72): The midfielder
pulled out of the games against
Tanzania and Niger due to a muscle
injury. He is only 24 years old and a
few years off the injury table will do
the former Inter Milan prodigy a lot of
good.
Joel Obi
2. Sylvester Igboun (72): He played
against Tanzania last weekend at the
2017 African Of Nations qualifiers, he
current plays from the wings and he
has a high rating of 92 for his pace.
Career mode lovers will love to have
him in their team.
3. Godfrey Oboabona: (72): The
center-back has not looked
impressive in recent years but a
rating of 72 could go higher if he
regains the form he showed when
Nigeria lifted the Nations Cup in
2013.
4. Odion Ighalo (72): A rather
surprising rating. Ighalo scored well
over 20 goals last season as Watford
gained promotion to the Premier
League. Ighalo also looks out of
favour with Sunday Oliseh also but a
few good goals will make EA Sports
reconsider his rating in FIFA 17.

4. Jerry Mbakogu (73): Still
uncapped, Mbakogu has impressed
in the Italian top-flight with newly
promoted Capri. 89 for pace and 78
for physicality means he is a real
handful for any defender in the game.
6. Raheem Lawal (73): The
Eskisehirspor midfielder was rated 63
in FIFA 15 but a successful season
at club level means he is boosted to
73. Hopefully his stock can continue
to rise.
7. Victor Anichebe (73): You get a
feeling that Anichebe is overrated if
Ighalo is rated 72. The West Brom
striker was told he could leave his
club during the recent transfer
window but decided to stay. The
Nigerian striker is taking a sabbatical
from the national team to sort his
club career and injury worries. 8. Sone Aluko (74): The Hull City
midfielder will be fondly remembered
for those two goals against Kenya in
the 2015 AFCON qualifiers in 2014.
He however suffered relegation with
his team last season.
9. Brown Ideye (74): Ideye left West
Brom in August after a disappointingj
season, his performance was poor.
Recently, the club’s director revealed
he was signed on recommendations
that could not be trusted.
Brown Ideye
10. Peter Odemwingie (75): The
winger cum striker is rated highly at
75 despite an injury plagued
2014/2015 season. Constant injury
has robbed him of his speed and
scoring abilities.
11. Imoh Ezekiel (75): The winger
cum striker has said he would love to
play for Belgium but a move to Qatari
club in the UAE has done his
chances a lot of harm. He is 21 year
old and has a lot of years ahead of
him. His pace is rated at 93.
12. Elderson Echiejile (75):
Unspectacular but efficient, effective
and consistent is how best you could
describe the left-back. The Super
Eagles defender would have to
compete with Real Madrid left-back
Fabio Contreao for a place in the first
team of AS Monaco.
13. Ogenyi Onazi (75): Another
player rated 75 for FIFA 16. Onazi is
on the rise and attracted interest
from Liverpool and Tottenham which
tells a lot about the midfielder. He
has a broad spread of abilities.
Ogenyi Onazi
14. Anthony Ujah (76): After helping
Cologne escape relegation last
season in spectacular circumstances,
it was a matter of when Ujah would
be recognized by FIFA. EA Sports has
done good to give him a good rating.
15. Ahmed Musa (76): Speedy is
how you can best describe the raw
talent called Ahmed Musa. He has a
pace score of 89 and dribbling ability
of 81. Hmmm, am I seeing career
mode lovers bidding for the 22 year
old CSKA Moscow man.
16. Victor Moses (76): Despite an
injury plagued 2014/2015, Moses is
highly rated. If he can regain the
form he showed with Wigan and
Crystal Palace earlier in his career,
Moses will enter the 80’s no doubt.
He has the talent and attitude to
match it. 17. John Mikel Obi (77): Slowly
Mikel is becoming a forgotten man in
Chelsea. He seems to have lost the
trust of Mourinho who would rather
play a defender (Kurt Zouma) in his
preferred midfield base position). 77
is not bad for the two-time Chelsea
young player of the year.
18. Ike Uche (78): Ike Uche is highly
rated which could race a few high
brows. He has been overlooked by
recent Eagles handlers due to his
style of play but a pace of 86 and
dribbling of 80 means he is can pose
problems.
19. Obafemi Martin (79): Obagoal
has been overlooked by Stephen
Keshi and now Sunday Oliseh but he
keeps turning heads in America
where he plays for MLS side, Seattle
Sounders. He is one of the fastest
players in the game with a pace of
91.

20. Vincent Enyeama (81): The only
player in the Eagles squad who can
claim to have world class abilities.
The Eagles skipper has gone from
strength to strength since he joined
Lille of France two years ago.
